Monitors heart rhythms of patients in special care units using telemetry equipment. Reports any changes in EKG monitoring to RN/Clinical Nurse. Performs duties of a Unit Secretary (transcribes orders, maintains patient charts, answers phones/greets people, orders supplies/requests services, etc.). Identifies opportunities to improve patient safety and participates in projects and programs designed to reduce error and improve safety as a member of the health care team. Education: High school diploma/GED required. Completion of Cardiac Arrhythmia program or passing a written rhythm test is also required. Prefer computer skills/training. Experience: 0 experience required. Prefer 1-2 of job-related experience.
