Performs and assists with cardiovascular diagnostic procedures which may include adult and pediatric/adolescent echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, awake and operative TEEs, intraoperative carotid exams, carotid ultrasounds, and PVRs. Demonstrates ability to use independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Ensures proper patient care and safety during the patient's ultrasound procedure. Teaches or directs the work of other staff as required.
Education: Graduate of an approved Sonography Program; Registered Sonographer. Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology is preferred.
Experience: 6 months - 1 Year experience as a Sonographer is required
Registry: Registered Sonographer; RDCS or RCS in adult and/or pediatric echo or RVT; BCLS or ACLS
