Under the general supervision of the Chief Medical Officer assures that the credentialing process for the Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals related to appointment, reappointment, and provision of clinical privileges for these individuals is continuously conducted in a timely and diligent manner consistent with the Medical Staff Bylaws and in compliance with JCAHO Standards. Coordinates the monthly meeting of the Credentials Committee through the Chair of the Committee and provides administrative support to Clinical Department Chairpersons related to credentialing for Medical Staff and Allied Health Professionals assigned to each Clinical Department. Responds to numerous credentialing verification inquiries from a variety of sources. Assists the Administrative Assistant/Medical Staff Office with the daily operational activities of the Medical Staff Office.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years specific experience with Medical Staff credentialing processes. Preferred: Certified Medical Staff Coordinator and Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist.
