Reporting to the Service Line Administrator, Cardiovascular Services, provides guidance and control of the Respiratory Therapy Department resulting in profitable growth, financial conservation and the highest quality of patient care. Serves as the Respiratory Therapy clinical and administrative resource to physicians, administrators and others as required ensuring efficient operation of the department and positive interface with all departments and staff of TMH. Is active in department activities, multidisciplinary team activities, and TMH activities to ensure individualized, patient-centered health care for all patient populations. The Director is accountable for the overall management and clinical services provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Demonstrates high employee, patient and physician satisfaction scores, good clinical outcomes, and cost effective use of resources.
Education Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Preferred: Master's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
Experience Minimum: 5 years of overall experience in all areas of Respiratory Care including 3 years management experience in a healthcare setting. Preferred: 10 years job related experience, including 5 years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
Other Requirements: Must possess & maintain licensure as a Certified Respiratory Therapist with the State of FL Dept of Health (CRT) AND Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT) AND Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
