The primary responsibility for this position is to ensure a timely and accurate completion of the registration in the Emergency Center. This is accomplished by closely supervising the registration staff and monitoring all registration activity throughout the department. Excellent customer service is the key to success in this position. That is, ensuring that all customers' needs are met and they are treated with respect and dignity.
Ensure that patients receiving services at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital have been assigned the correct insurance plan, policy number and authorization number. Excellent customer service skills are utilized when working with physician offices, third party payers and patients. Financial and insurance information is communicated to Case Management, Utilization Management and Financial Counseling staff when appropriate.
Communicate clearly and effectively with manager, staff and general public and handle stressful situations with tact and diplomacy.
Participates in the hiring, education, mentoring of new hires and complete annual colleague performance reviews.
Maintains required productivity, collections and data accuracy levels according to the department productivity and performance measurements. Ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times for the Emergency Center.
These functions are preformed with the facility's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

Education: Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preffered: College Degree in Business or Healthcare.
Required: Minimum: Two years job related experience. Preferred: More than five years of job related experience.
Hiring Range: $12.21-$14.96/hr
