Responsible for the daily operation of the Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and Outpatient Surgical Unit. . Promote a consistent and consolidated direction in the provision of nursing care throughout the main operating room in accordance with the philosophy of nursing service and the mission of the hospital. Plan individually and collectively to determine the future direction of nursing care. Implement and continuously monitor the plan as it develops so that reinforcement can be provided and/or changes can be made as needed. Collaborate with other clinicians to insure systems are appropriate and adequate to support nursing and patient care. Coach, mentor, and serve as a role model. Work with nursing supervisors/managers to assure continuity and consistency of departmental direction across shifts. Interpret the Nurse Practice Act for others as needed.
Required: BSN, Nursing License in State of Florida
Preferred: Master's or Other Graduate Degree
Minimum: Five to seven years of related experience
