The Registered Clinical Nurse (RN) is fundamental in achieving recognized world-class health care. Assumes direct and indirect responsibility for the patient's care environment. The primary responsibility is providing care through collaboration with health care team members and the autonomous application of the nursing process. Also provides leadership, mentoring and role modeling for other members of the health care team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordination and delegation of care in a safe, secure and clean environment. Care provided displays respect for the patient's rights, dignity, values, confidentiality and expressed needs. Adaptable, using evidenced based practice and information technologies while maintaining focus on providing comfort, relieving pain and alleviating anxiety. Practices under the umbrella of the Department of Nursing and within the scope and conditions of the Florida Nurse Practice Act. Follows all policies, procedures, and requirements of TMH, and actively supports a commitment to the mission and vision of TMH, consistently displaying behaviors in harmony with the ICARE values.
A 60-bed free standing hospital on the campus of Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, which provides inpatient and outpatient services for children, adolescents and adults. Highly qualified nursing staff provide a holistic approach to patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary treatment team to assist patients and families move towards crisis resolution. Services include a Psychiatric Emergency Response (PERP) nurses. Based in the Emergency Center, these professionals seek to provide competent and professional response to patient's exhibiting an emergent psychiatric condition, functional or organic, for which immediate care would increase or contribute to the patient's response to treatment. The PERP nurses coordinate a rapid response for the psychiatric patient's needs.
Minimum:Graduate of approved school of nursing
Preferred: Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Minimum: Two to five years of Job-Related Experience.
Preferred: Five to eight years of Job-Related Experience.
Licensed in the State of Florida to practice professional nursing (RN)
