Job Summary: The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for the flow of information with third party payers to ensure certification/approval of inpatient and post discharge services. This position collaborates with the appropriate case management personnel in order to provide the necessary clinical information to third party payers and reviews daily reports from Medicaid and other commercial insurance companies to ensure appropriate and timely follow up. The Administrative Coordinator documents and posts necessary information for timely payment.
Education: High School Diploma Required; Associate Degree preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years office experience with organizational/coordination responsibilities and a working knowledge of computer applications required. Candidates with three (3) or more years experience including medical billing or patient accounting within a medical office or health care facilities are preferred.
Hiring Range: $11.34 to $13.88 per hour
