Weekend Plan Requirements

Scheduling requirements: 36 hours between Friday, 7:00 a.m., and Monday, 7:00 p.m.  Each weekend schedule will be comprised of three shifts on three consecutive dates, which will always include Saturday and Sunday, and a third shift on either the consecutive Monday or Friday as defined by the Nurse Manager of the assigned unit. 

Required: One year of Registered Nurse clinical experience relative to the area in which the position is available.

Unit Description: The Internal Medicine Unit at TMH is a 36-bed inpatient medical-telemetry unit.  With a culturally diverse staff and an average nurse-to-patient ratio of one to five, holistic patient care is provided in a nurturing environment to adults ages 18-100+. The highly skilled staff of the Internal Medicine Unit specializes in the care of patients being treated with medicine or surgery for pulmonary, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and metabolic conditions. The nursing staff of the Internal Medicine Unit is an integral partner with the other members of an active multi-disciplinary team committed to superior, quality care and an exceptional experience for patients and their family members.

Job Summary: The Registered Clinical Nurse (RN) is fundamental in achieving recognized world-class health care.  Assumes direct and indirect responsibility for the patient's care environment.  The primary responsibility is providing care through collaboration with health care team members and the autonomous application of the nursing process.  Also provides leadership, mentoring and role modeling for other members of the health care team.
